Section 164
The traffic inspector or the police can punish immediately
(1) Notwithstanding anything contained elsewhere in this Act, a fine of five hundred rupees shall be imposed on the person who commits the following offenses for the first time, one thousand rupees for the second time and one thousand five hundred rupees for the third time or more, by an officer up to the rank of Transport Inspector or Assistant Police Inspector. (a) Driving in violation of traffic signals or signs.
(b) Stopping a vehicle at a place or time where it is prohibited to stop a vehicle.
(c) Turning the vehicle or giving a sound signal where it is prohibited to turn the vehicle or give a sound signal.
(d) Driving on the wrong side of the road.
(e) Driving in the opposite direction on a one-way road.
(f) Driving a vehicle that is not in good condition.
(g) driving at a speed exceeding the prescribed speed.
(h) Driving at night without lights.
(i) Driving under the influence of alcohol.
(j) Keeping a vehicle in a public place in such a way as to disturb others.
(k) Driving in a place or time where driving is prohibited.
(l) Driving without number plate.
(d) driving a vehicle with a weight greater than the prescribed weight where the limit of the vehicle's weight has been determined.
(d) Driving without wearing a seat belt or wearing a helmet.
(n) If the limit of the number of persons or goods to be seated or kept in the vehicle has been determined, the vehicle has been driven with more than that limit.
(p) The driver of a public vehicle refuses to pick up a passenger.
(th) Driving the vehicle by charging more than the prescribed fare rate.
(d) Driving recklessly.

(2) According to sub-section (1), those who cannot pay the amount of the fine imposed by the traffic inspector or the police immediately, will be given an injunction to pay the amount to the relevant police office or the authorized officer within twenty-four hours.
(3) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), when a person commits an offense referred to in sub-section (1), even if there is no officer of at least the rank of Assistant Police Inspector present at the scene of the incident to punish him, any officer present at the scene of the incident shallThe police constable will give the person who commits such an offense to pay the amount of the fine due to him to the concerned police office within twenty-four hours.
(4) When giving a part according to sub-section (2) or (3), a copy of such part must also be made to be a true copy of the part.
(5) Those who do not report the amount of such fine to the authorized officer or the concerned police office even within the time specified in sub-section (2) or (3), the authorized officer shall fine up to one thousand rupees and the driver's license of such person in case of a driver, driving license in the case of a vehicle owner or manager, or They can suspend the license obtained to operate the transport service for a maximum period of one month.
(6) If the fine is paid even for the period of suspension as per sub-section (5), the authorized officer may revoke such driver's license, road license or license to operate transport service.
